Technicians who handle appliances containing federally regulated refrigerants may take their required certification exams online through Pennsylvania College of Technology. Under Federal Clean Air Act guidelines, all those who maintain, service or dispose of appliances containing regulated refrigerants must have Section 608 Refrigerant Transition and Recovery certification.

The Technology Transfer Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology will offer a series of seven hatha yoga asana practice sessions Nov. 26 through Dec. 19. The free sessions, which will be held on the stage of the Klump Academic Center auditorium, will be offered from 4:45 to 6:15 p.m. on Nov. 26 and Dec. 3, 10, 12, 17 and 19. The session on Saturday, Dec. 14, will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

"Holidays 2002," a floral design show held recently at Pennsylvania College of Technology, raised nearly $1,300 for student scholarships while providing audience members with an opportunity to learn decorating techniques from floral-design professionals.

The North Central Chapter of the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association recently provided a gift of $2,000 to Pennsylvania College of Technology. The chapter, which includes Bradford, Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Sullivan, Tioga and Union counties, represents trucking firms that hire many graduates from the Diesel Technology programs offered at Penn College.
