Pennsylvania College of Technology invites the public to share in celebrating the completion of extensive renovations at its most historic building, the Klump Academic Center, formerly the Williamsport High School. A video tribute to the building, "Time Will Explain it All," will be shown at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Sundays throughout February on SusCom (the local cable TV provider) Channel 2.

Homecoming 2005, themed "Turn Up the Heat," was a great success despite the weather. Thirty-six students, representing 19 clubs and organizations, raised $1,240.35 in the Homecoming King and Queen charity event. At the Homecoming Dance, "A Night On Fire," Kristin Campbell and Andrew Lackman − both representing Campus View Apartments − were announced as this year's Homecoming royalty.

Construction of the Roger and Peggy Madigan Library has commenced at the main entrance to Pennsylvania College of Technology. On Monday, work crews began moving snow that had piled up over the weekend. They also located and marked utility lines, and, on Tuesday, excavation work began at the site. Materials that help spread the reputation of Pennsylvania College of Technology a national public television cooking series, an interactive marketing DVD and a broadcast commercial have been honored in a global competition that recognizes excellence in visual communication. Dr. Henryk R. Marcinkiewicz, associate vice president for academic affairs at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has co-written a book about organizing and conducting a professional-development program for new faculty. The book, "New Faculty Professional Development: Planning an Ideal Program," was published recently by New Forums Press Inc., Stillwater, Okla.

The Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association has established an endowed scholarship fund for nursing students in the School of Health Sciences at Pennsylvania College of Technology. A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded this fall.

Kirk M. Allen, ajunior Business Administration-Management Information Systems major from Birdsboro (Berks County), has been selected by the Student Government Association as January's "Student of the Month" at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Beginning this fall, all athletes at Pennsylvania College of Technology will have four-year eligibility, and most of the College's teams will compete in Penn State's Commonwealth Campus Athletic Conference.
