Twenty'two students graduated from two programs at Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus near Wellsboro on Dec. 15. Thirteen students graduated from the 12-month, noncredit practical nursing program and are eligible for employment in hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics, hospice and other health-care organizations.

Students from the early childhood education major at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently attended the National Association for the Education of Young Children conference in Washington, D.C. One of the students, Darian B. Buxton, of Jersey Shore, was invited to speak at a town meeting on issues related to on-campus student early childhood education clubs.

Douglas B. Martin, a student at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has received the John A. Savoy Scholarship for Electronics Applications for the 2005-06 academic year. The scholarship is awarded each fall to a second-year student in an electronics major that emphasizes laser optics or fiber optics. The recipient is chosen based on scholastic achievement, dedication and leadership.

School of Hospitality students from Pennsylvania College of Technology will travel to the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg on Jan. 8 to participate in several cooking demonstrations on the complex's main floor.
