Four returning graduates hosted a recent panel discussion on "The School of Hard Knocks," giving students at the Schneebeli Earth Science Center a heads-up on what to expect in the workplace once they graduate. The panel was presented during a regular meeting of the Student Success Program offered at theAllenwood-area campusevery fall.

More than 375 students have petitioned to graduate in December from Pennsylvania College of Technology, which will hold a commencement ceremony Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport. The student speaker for the 11 a.m. ceremony will be Ryan K.

Michael R. Bloom, a sophomore electronics engineering technology student at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has earned the Central Keystone Section of the Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to a student entering his or her second year of study in electronics with an industrial process control emphasis.

Eight Pennsylvania College of Technology students have earned 10 district-level scholarships from the American Welding Society for the 2005-06 academic year. The scholarship recipients are: District 2 (Long Island, N.Y.; New Jersey; New York; and Philadelphia) Eric J. Belokostolsky, Warwick, N.Y.; Ethan A. Hayden, North Brunswick, N.J.; and Benjamin J.
