Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus near Wellsboro is offering classes for a certificate in medical billing and coding specialist. The college has received approval for the program from the National Healthcareer Association, which certifies the competency of newly trained professionals in allied health care.

Six Pennsylvania College of Technology students and two faculty members traveled to Nicaragua to provide dental care to a group of indigent children. Members of the Penn College community had the opportunity to meet the players and coaches of the Fall 2008 athletic teams during a "Meet the Wildcats" night Wednesday in the Field House. Douglas T. Byerly has been named director of athletics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, a special mission affiliate of The Pennsylvania State University. "Byerly joins Penn College with 22 years of athletic experience: first as an athletic director, coach and teacher at Line Mountain High School, and later in athletic development and admissions at Lock Haven University.
