Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering QuickBooks 2013 Level I this spring. Participants – even those with little bookkeeping knowledge – can learn the powerful tools of the No. 1-rated accounting software for individuals and businesses.

High-performing individuals are often selected for leadership roles with little or no training in effectiveness. The Quick Start Leadership program, presented by Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology, assists those launching such careers and facilitates teamwork by presenting common approaches to issues that leaders may face.

Barely a week from field service, a newly sandblasted and painted wellhead arrives at the Center for Business & Workforce Development. Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology will offer several easy-to-learn Excel computer classes this spring through Penn College at Wellsboro, located in the Wellsboro Area School District Administration Building. The noncredit classes are taught by qualified instructors at a comfortable pace for all levels of adult learners.

Local Anesthetics for the Dental Hygienist, a 30-hour training course delivered over two weekends, is being offered by Workforce Development & Continuing Education and the School of Health Sciences at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering four basic, short-term computer classes through May. Computer Camp for Adults 55+ (9 a.m. to noon, Feb. 11 and 13 or 9 a.m. to noon, April 3 and 10) is a fun course that introduces the computer for enjoyment purposes.

Fifteen students graduated recently from the Pennsylvania College of Technology North Campus Outreach Practical Nursing Program. A ceremony was held at the Wellsboro Area School District Auditorium on Thursday, Dec. 19. The students selected two of their classmates as speakers for the ceremony: Jerry E. Cochenour, of Wellsboro, and Amanda E. Catherman, of Westfield.

Eleven courses covering a variety of creative tools in the Adobe family of software applications will be offered by Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology through May.
