Pennsylvania College of Technology held its Summer Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Community Arts Center in downtown Williamsport. The student speaker was Kenneth B.

Girls entering ninth, 10th and 11th grades stayed on Pennsylvania College of Technology's main campus July 10-14 to participate in the annual SMART Girls residential activity. The girls participated in workshops on campus to enhance their knowledge of nontraditional careers – and the usefulness of science and mathematics courses in those potential professions.

Spring Commencement exercises were held May 13-14 at Williamsport's Community Arts Center for nearly 950 students graduating from Pennsylvania College of Technology. Friday's 3 p.m. ceremony celebrated students from the schools of Construction and Design Technologies, and Health Sciences; the 10 a.m.

Penn State President Graham B. Spanier joined new and recently tenured faculty members from the university in a visit to Pennsylvania College of Technology on Monday, May 9, the first leg of a three-day Road Scholars bus tour.

Making a fibber out of anyone who says, "There's nothing to do around here," Pennsylvania College of Technology's main campus flourished under a busy weekend of events (April 29-30), both fun and philanthropic: the Wildcat Events Board's yearly WEBstock festival, the Walk-It-Out benefit that raised more than $3,700 for the Camp Victory children's charity and the third annual Sigma Nu car show.

The Student Activities Awards Banquet, a yearend tradition to celebrate student leadership at Pennsylvania College of Technology, was held April 27 in Penn's Inn. The Army ROTC program brought a pair of 11-ton conversation pieces to Pennsylvania College of Technology on April 14, landing two UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters on The Madigan Library lawn. Pilots and crew chiefs were available to answer questions about the aircraft, which were flying cadets to Fort Indiantown Gap.

Pennsylvania College of Technology welcomed prospective students, their families and friends to an informative and enjoyable Spring Open House on March 26.
