First-year students and returnees alike said "Goodbye" to summer and "Hello" to the Fall 2012 semester during Penn College's Welcome Weekend festivities. After check-in and move-in for newcomers Saturday, the evening included a presidential welcome, fireworks display and another visit from a traditionally popular hypnotist.
Penn College put out the Wildcat welcome mat Wednesday for visitors to the Little League Baseball World Series, the 66th edition of which begins Thursday and concludes with the Aug. 26 championship game in nearby South Williamsport.

Gallery exhibit applauded The current show at The Gallery at Penn College, characterized by Mosaic Art NOW as "an absolutely splendid exhibit featuring five innovative American mosaic artists," has been prominently included in the online publication.

The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Madigan Library, will host "Terra Incognita," an exhibit by five award-winning mosaic artists, from July 10 to Aug. 26. The exhibit features the works of JeanAnn Dabb, Karen Kettering Dimit, Cynthia Fisher, Yulia Hanansen and Rachel Sager Lynch.
The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Madigan Library, will host a two-day Mosaic Workshop on July 12-13. During this beginner-level workshop, participants will learn to translate the ancient technique of mosaic into a modern, colorful expression.
Thirty high school students took part in the first "'Designing a Digital Future' Career Camp," presented by Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Business and Computer Technologies on June 19-20.
