Following a national search, Pennsylvania College of Technology has chosen Michael J. Reed to lead the institution as its eighth president, effective July 1. The Penn College Board of Directors on Wednesday approved the choice of Reed, the college’s vice president for academic affairs and provost, after an extensive search process led by Storbeck Search, of Media.

Dan and Monica Klingerman had the opportunity to see their gifts at work during a recent visit to Pennsylvania College of Technology’s main campus. A gift from the Klingerman family allowed Penn College to renovate and equip a new wrestling room, as well as the department's office that has been renamed and rededicated as The Klingerman Family Athletics Suite.

The Penn College community once again dressed its front doors in their holiday best, a precursor to reopening them next month to let in the new year. Prizes were awarded for the top three doors designed/decorated by student organizations, as well as the top three entries by college offices/departments.

"You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows," a famed troubadour once proclaimed, and you certainly don't need a calendar to know that the Susquehanna Valley has turned the corner toward you-know-what. Mornings dawn a little frostier and evenings descend a tad sooner around Penn College these days, but autumn presented quite an extended and impressive show while it lasted.
