On May 1, 80 Girl Scouts and community members helped to plant 400 trees and shrubs of 12 species on the grounds of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Schneebeli Earth Science Center near Allenwood. The event was part of the college’s Arbor Day celebration and the Girl Scouts’ Tree Promise. For Earth Day 2022, Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania is planting 2,022 trees.

On April 23, 16 Pennsylvania College of Technology physical therapist assistant students – joined by Victoria Hurwitz, program director – partnered with Trailing Pines Tree Farm to plant 170 tree seedlings for conservation. Penn College welcomed 59 future Wildcats and their families to Accepted Student Day on Sunday – emphasis on the "sun" – as gorgeous walking-around weather helped guests celebrate "the beginning of something amazing."
