Nearly 50 people a mix of industry professionals and Pennsylvania College of Technology construction students recently underwent American Concrete Institute certification testing on the college's main campus in Williamsport.
1098T Student Tuition Statements have been mailed in accordance with Internal Revenue Serviceregulations. These statements are to be used to assist in the calulation oftax credits that may be used against income taxes owed by students or whoever claims them as a dependent. These tax credits are known as the Hope and Lifetime Learning Tax Credits.
A student enrolled in Pennsylvania College of Technology's plastics and polymer engineering technology major was chosen to receive the John Manson Memorial Student Research Award from the Society of Plastics Engineers Lehigh Valley Section. Lehigh Valley SPE member Les Sperling presented the $1,000 award to Penn College senior Sean M. Stabler, Montoursville, during the section's January meeting.

Receiving a one-year, full-tuition scholarship for the 2005-06 academic year is Ashley R. Boyles, Montoursville, who is enrolled in the radiography major. Receiving $500 scholarships are Amber B. Sober and Ashley A.

Students from the early childhood education major at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently attended the National Association for the Education of Young Children conference in Washington, D.C. One of the students, Darian B. Buxton, of Jersey Shore, was invited to speak at a town meeting on issues related to on-campus student early childhood education clubs.
