Pennsylvania College of Technology students left a trail of success at a recent high-profile  “hacker” convention. The Penn College contingent excelled at ShmooCon 2016. The annual event in Washington, D.C., brings together 1,500 students and professionals from the cybersecurity community to showcase inventive technology, discuss information security issues, network and test their skills.

Anthony J. DiBucci Anthony J. DiBucci, of Pittsburgh, enrolled in building construction technology: masonry emphasis major, wrote the initial article for a new Masonry Design Blog feature. Headlined "How I Work," DiBucci shares a glimpse into a typical day at Penn College and a reverent perspective on his meticulous craft of choice.

Honorees were presented with totes denoting their "awesome" status. Keynoter Jennifer D. Wilson offers inspiration. Presenting the honors are Kimberly R. Cassel (at podium), director of student activities, and Allison A. Bressler, assistant director of student activities for programming and Greek life. Pennsylvania College of Technology's Athletics Department hosted its second annual Girls & Women in Sports Day Clinic on Saturday. Sixteen student-athletes from softball, soccer, volleyball and basketball instructed more than 35 local elementary-aged girls in their respective sports. Each girl had the opportunity to participate in all four sports.

A dedicated group of exercise science students at Penn College is showcasing its flexibility, strength and creativity, thanks to an Instagram account. Students at Pennsylvania College of Technology were among community groups that made soup and bowls for Central Pennsylvania Food Bank’s sold-out “Soup and a Bowl” fundraiser, held Feb. 19 in Williamsport. The event, celebrating its 10th anniversary, features a variety of soups, breads and desserts. In addition to lunch, guests leave with a soup bowl donated by a local potter.
