Fourteen graphic design seniors at Pennsylvania College of Technology will exhibit their work as part of “Design: 2016,” the annual student portfolio exhibition in The Gallery at Penn College. A public reception for the exhibit’s opening will be held Friday, April 29, from 4 to 6 p.m., in the gallery, located on the third floor of the Madigan Library.

Four graduates of the graphic design major at Pennsylvania College of Technology returned to campus recently to share their insights with current students. Kacie L. Weaver, an applied human services student from Harrisburg, has been chosen as the March "Student of the Month" at Pennsylvania College of Technology. “Kacie is one of those people you meet in life and you’re immediately captivated by her aura of care. She’s the kind of person this world needs more of,” her nominator wrote.

Pennsylvania College of Technology representatives will present “A Taste of Technology” for thousands of people hungry to experience STEM fields at the USA Science and Engineering Festival in Washington, D.C., April 15-17.

Five graphic design students at Pennsylvania College of Technology have earned Student American Advertising Awards from the American Advertising Federation of Northeast Pennsylvania. In an impressive showing, the Penn College students captured four of six gold awards and six of eight silver awards. They were honored at the association’s annual awards banquet, held Feb.

Pennsylvania College of Technology’s 2016 Alumni Sweethearts, Timothy D. and Whitnie-Rae (Mays) Haldeman, visited campus recently to stay overnight in the Victorian House and dine in Le Jeune Chef Restaurant. The Haldemans, of Hanover, won the fifth annual Alumni Sweethearts contest conducted on Alumni Relations’ Facebook page.

Students at Pennsylvania College of Technology were among community groups that made soup and bowls for Central Pennsylvania Food Bank’s sold-out “Soup and a Bowl” fundraiser, held Feb. 19 in Williamsport. The event, celebrating its 10th anniversary, features a variety of soups, breads and desserts. In addition to lunch, guests leave with a soup bowl donated by a local potter.
