A lifelong automotive enthusiast whose children are alumni of Pennsylvania College of Technology has had a scholarship created in his memory at the college. The Ralph E. “Sonny” Persun Memorial Scholarship was established by his wife, Louise, and children Steven R., ’99, manufacturing engineering technology; Corey A., ’98, HVAC technology; and Karen Mensinger, ’93, accounting.

A new scholarship fund that will benefit students enrolled in majors within the School of Health Sciences at Pennsylvania College of Technology will begin generating scholarship awards in the coming academic year. The Savoy Health Sciences Scholarship is an endowed scholarship fund established by Carol Savoy.

Net proceeds from the event will benefit the foundation's Golf Classic Endowed Scholarship Fund, investment income from which generates more than $40,000 in scholarships each year.
High school students representing two area school districts have been presented with Peggy Madigan Memorial Leadership Scholarships at Pennsylvania College of Technology.Joshua Belzer, from the Montoursville Area School District, and Sara M.
