The graphic design talents of four students and seven alumni from Pennsylvania College of Technology have been honored in two prestigious design competitions. In both contests, Penn College designs captured Best of Show awards. In the 2021-22 American Advertising Federation of Northeast Pennsylvania’s Student American Advertising Awards, John J.

“It was nice to find a tiny gift. It made my day, honestly,” said Natalie K. Lincalis, a graphic design student from Muncy. “I was so grateful to find one,” shared Sarah R. Yoder, coordinator of admissions operations. “They are beautiful!” Such were the reactions to discovering “feathered friends” hidden in nooks and crannies, scattered across the Pennsylvania College of Technology campus.

The talents of 11 graphic design seniors at Pennsylvania College of Technology will be in the spotlight with “Graphic Design 2022,” the annual student portfolio exhibition in The Gallery at Penn College, April 26 through May 6. A reception will be celebrated 4 to 6 p.m. (with remarks at 5 p.m.) on Friday, April 29, in the gallery on the third floor of The Madigan Library.

A cheerful woodland creature – complete with small birds, frogs and turtles – was crafted by Sydney M. Telesky, a human services & restorative justice student from Milton. Library wall reflects cross-cultural exploration. Four horns adorn this visually striking creation of Cameron E. Bracey, a construction management student from Minersville.

Stabley arranges some of the flock for photos. The ceramic birds are finished with an attractive gloss ... ... and such uplifting messages on the flip side as, "Live with grace and humility and with love in your heart." Marked by milestones, a reception in the lobby of The Gallery at Penn College on Thursday night cast a unique net of celebrations.

“Journey and Transformation: The Careers of David Stabley & Keith Vanderlin” is on display in the lobby of The Gallery at Penn College through May 6. An artists’ reception is set for 4:30 to 6 p.m. (with a gallery talk at 5 p.m.) on Thursday, March 24, in the gallery lobby on the third floor of The Madigan Library at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Sporting her “The Poky Little Puppy” T-shirt, Lutz leads the next generation of art enthusiasts through the gallery exhibition. No trip to The Gallery at Penn College is complete without a peek out the large window that offers a glorious view of campus.

Graphic design students at Pennsylvania College of Technology have taken inspiration from a Little Golden Books exhibition on campus in creating their own, modern versions of the classic children’s book illustrations. Students enrolled in Illustration (ART340) classes were tasked with illustrating and designing a two-page spread from one of 33 Little Golden Books.
