The talents of 11 graphic design seniors at Pennsylvania College of Technology will be in the spotlight with “Graphic Design 2022,” the annual student portfolio exhibition in The Gallery at Penn College, April 26 through May 6.
A reception will be celebrated 4 to 6 p.m. (with remarks at 5 p.m.) on Friday, April 29, in the gallery on the third floor of The Madigan Library. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
Participating graphic design students are: Emily N. Carson, Jersey Shore; Veronica Elizabeth Ditzler, Fredericksburg; Danielle N. Gannon, Williamsport; Lexi C. Hamm, Kutztown; Tyler Rae Laub, Jersey Shore; Emma Marie Mercer, Williamsport; Lisa C. Ousley, Williamsport; Victoria Jane Privitera, Bally; Elias D. Ritter, Willow Grove; Ashley Dawnn Thomas Johnson, Roselle, N.J.; and Maya Wynant, Honey Brook.
“This show represents four years of hard work and dedication to the design field,” said Brian A. Flynn, assistant professor of graphic design and department head of art and design. “The work is outstanding, and we hope everyone gets an opportunity to visit the gallery to see the show. These young designers will be the future leaders in graphic design, and I am excited to follow their many successes.”
The annual portfolio exhibition displays the best design, illustration and web design work of graphic design seniors. Design faculty select the top works developed by each student within their time at Penn College. The show gives students a chance to present their work in marketing, branding, packaging, advertising and design to industry professionals and the community.
Penn College graphic design students have consistently earned recognition in regional, national and international advertising design competitions, particularly in the student category of the American Advertising Federation’s American Advertising Awards and AIGA Blue Ridge’s Flux Student Design Competition.
