The artistic talents of 21 graphic design seniors at Pennsylvania College of Technology will be showcased in “Graphic Design 2021,” the annual student portfolio exhibition in The Gallery at Penn College. Running April 26 through May 7, the exhibit can be viewed in person at the gallery, which is open 2 to 8 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Deven W. Carson chose to honor his favorite animal – the buffalo – and added a variety of accents including faux hair, copper and turquoise (and purposely chose to embellish only the right eye for added intrigue). A barn owl offered inspiration to Ryan D. Beck, a building automation engineering technology student from Port Matilda.

The librarian for information technology initiatives at Pennsylvania College of Technology has written one of 13 accepted chapters in the American Library Association’s “Technical Services in the 21st Century,” spotlighting the substantial behind-the-scenes work that allows students to seamlessly access scholarly digital material.
Capturing 18 honors in the Flux Student Design Competition, graphic design students from Pennsylvania College of Technology surpassed their previous record in the national event. “I am blown away by the extraordinary work that our graphic design students produce every day in this program,” said Nicholas L. Stephenson, instructor of graphic design.

An area graphic designer’s 100-day dedication to a drawing and writing practice has culminated in an exhibit at The Gallery at Penn College. “Second Nature,” featuring works by Sarah Patterson, also offers inspiration on establishing a journaling routine.
