Twenty-eight students from a variety of Career and Technical Education schools participated in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s inaugural diesel competition at the institution’s Schneebeli Earth Science Center. The well-planned Dec.

An in-person commencement ceremony will be held Saturday, Dec. 18, for the 320 students who have petitioned to graduate at Pennsylvania College of Technology following the Fall 2021 semester. The ceremony, in which more than 220 students are expected to march, will be held at 11 a.m. at the Community Arts Center.

The first to arrive is Lauryn A. Stauffer, an automation engineering technology: robotics and automation major, who was rewarded with a smooch ... ... and a shake (even as Winnie cased the room for her next human encounter). Stauffer, of Bath, is also a college relations assistant and a Wildcat Events Board team leader.

Poinsettias – including some eye-catching new varieties – add a burst of seasonal color. Variegated plants are among the ESC greenhouse inventory. The annual poinsettia sale at Penn College's Schneebeli Earth Science Center greenhouse begins Wednesday and runs until this year's limited inventory is sold. The hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The latest in an series of timely discussions, informal and informational, will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, in Penn’s Inn (Bush Campus Center, second floor). Craig A. Miller, associate professor of history/political science at Penn College, will moderate discussion of major issues before the U.S. Supreme Court this term.
