Delivering some stress relief to help Penn College students endure the exam-heavy dash to semester break, the ever-huggable Winnie owned the floor of the Student Leadership and Organization Center (Bush Campus Center, Room 151) on Monday afternoon.
The visit from the golden retriever, accompanied by Drew R. Potts, assistant professor of civil engineering technology, was among the "Finals Week Freebies" arranged by the Office of Student Engagement.
Winnie, who turned 3 on Thanksgiving, is no stranger to delivering therapeutic understanding to a campus audience. She has been a regular at Counseling Services' "Hot Dog, You're Here!" event, held to assist first-year students – particularly pet owners homesick for their pooches' companionship – transition to college life.
