As the regular seasons wind down for two Pennsylvania College of Technology teams – basketball on Saturday and wrestling on Sunday — the college’s baseball players are preparing for what may be their earliest start ever – weather permitting.
Both the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s and women’s basketball teams tasted victory last week as their seasons of improvement continued. Men’s basketball Hosting Penn State Abington in North Eastern Athletic Conference play Wednesday, the visitors took a 41-28 halftime lead and went on for a 78-64 victory.
Pennsylvania College of Technology President Davie Jane Gilmour was appointed recently to serve on the NCAA Division III Presidents Council, the highest governing body for Division III athletics. Gilmour, who has served on the NCAA Division III Chancellors/Presidents Advisory Group, began serving her four-year term in January.
