The Pennsylvania College of Technology Athletics Department recently inducted its third Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society class: 23 student-athletes, representing 12 teams, with an average 3.75 GPA. “I’m incredibly proud of our student-athletes as they continue to raise the bar and succeed in and out of competition,” said John D. Vandevere, director of athletics.
On the heels of North Eastern Athletic Conference playoff runs by the men’s golf team and men’s and women’s tennis teams, Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball, softball and men’s lacrosse squads all punched their postseason tickets over the past week.
Conference team champion. Individual co-champion and Golfer of the Year. Coach of the Year. It can’t get much better for the Pennsylvania College of Technology golf team. Yet maybe it can, as it also became the college’s first team to earn a spot in the NCAA Division III National Championships.
Regular-season play for Pennsylvania College of Technology golf and tennis teams began just two weeks ago and – because of pared-down schedules due to the coronavirus pandemic – by this week’s end, their seasons will be over.

After being idled by the pandemic last spring and fall, Pennsylvania College of Technology golf and men’s and women’s tennis teams are more than ready to get going again. The golf season is scheduled to start Wednesday when Lycoming College and Susquehanna University square off with the Wildcats at Williamsport Country Club while the tennis season begins Saturday at Lancaster Bible College.

More than a year after their last competitive NCAA Division III games, it would be an understatement to say that the Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball and softball teams are eager to get back into action. Both squads are scheduled to open at home Saturday – baseball hosting Penn State Harrisburg in a 1 p.m.
A total of 3,546 meals were provided to 484 Penn College students in COVID-related isolation or quarantine so far this academic year, according to Dining Services statistics shared Thursday with the administration. Figures through February break down into: dinner, 1,258; lunch, 877; breakfast, 817; and brunch, 243.
