Penn College announced Dalton Rohrbaugh as the seventh head coach of the wrestling program. Rohrbaugh begins his coaching duties on Sept. 24. Rohrbaugh previously spent one season on the Shenandoah University wrestling coaching staff. At Shenandoah, Rohrbaugh's responsibilities included organizing and implementing practices, scouting and recruiting prospective student-athletes, and managing various aspects of the team's operations.
In a week leading up to the start of United East Conference play, the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s and men’s soccer teams combined to win four of five matches. UE play starts on Saturday for both squads and on Oct. 1 for the women’s volleyball team.

After back-to-back United East championships and trips to the NCAA Division III Championships the last two springs, Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s golf coach Rob Lytle knows the importance of fall-season preparation. “This is the most aggressive fall tournament schedule Penn College has ever seen. The only thing it’s going to do is make us better," the third-year coach said.
David Straub enters his second season as coach of the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s and women’s tennis teams with optimism, thanks to several key returning players and talented newcomers. The Wildcat men, 2-9 overall last year and 2-5 in the United East, open at 4 p.m. on Friday, hosting Lycoming College on the Brandon Park courts, while the women, 4-9 overall and 1-4 UE, open at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the first day of the King’s College Invitational.
Three of six Pennsylvania College of Technology fall sports teams opened their seasons over the weekend but came away winless. Other upcoming fall openers: men’s and women’s cross-country host Lycoming College, 5:30 p.m. Tuesday; men’s tennis at Lycoming College, 4 p.m. Friday; and women’s tennis at King’s Invitational Day One, 9 a.m. Saturday.
With a United East Conference championship, five all-conference runners and the coach of the year, 2023 belonged to the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s cross-country team, the core of which returns this fall. Also, look for the women’s squad to make some noise this season. The Wildcats open at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, hosting Lycoming College.
Coming off a season that coach Ian Scheller called “one of the best in program history” with an 11-2-7 record, the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s soccer team looks to keep it going this year. The Wildcats open at 6 p.m. on Friday in a nonconference match at Penn State Altoona. “Our 2024 preseason has been a massive success so far," the third-year coach said.
After reaching the United East postseason playoffs last season for the first time since 2018, Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer coach Tyler Mensch is hopeful of more. Penn College opens its season at 2 p.m. on Friday at Centenary University. “Our preseason has started off strong as we had four days of a traditional preseason where we could practice twice a day,” Mensch said.
