Shawn Sidey, a 1996 Penn College graduate who earned degrees in culinary arts and food and hospitality management, returned to campus Nov. 17 to talk with students about coffee roasting. Sidey, trained as a chef, decided after several years of restaurant and catering management positions, to pursue his joy for coffee as a career. After managing three stores in a cafe chain called Brew HaHa!
Two alumni from Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Hospitality will visit the college this month to talk with students about their jobs in unique hospitality niches. Shawn Sidey, who graduated in 1996 with a degree in food and hospitality management, will visit the college on Nov. 17. Sidey is a roasting supervisor for Starbucks Coffee Co.'s York Roasting Plant in York.
