Brady L. Breon has been named director of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s paramedic and prehospital medicine program, overseeing the college’s bachelor’s degree in prehospital medicine, associate degree in paramedic science and certificate in paramedic practice. Breon had been an assistant professor in the college’s prehospital and paramedic program, having joined the faculty in 2005.

Public Relations & Marketing at Pennsylvania College of Technology was honored for a short-form video entry in the recent 2022 CUPPIES Awards competition sponsored by CUPRAP, College & University Public Relations and Associated Professionals. The Silver CUPPIE Award was bestowed in the Digital, Short-Form Web Video category for the college’s “Pathways” 30-second spot.

The funeral will be Thursday for Mary Jane West, an associate professor of English at Williamsport Area Community College (a Penn College forerunner) from 1968 until her retirement in 1987, who died March 17 in Delaware at the age of 98. The service will be at 10:30 a.m. in St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Northway Road and Sheridan Street.

Although Mother Nature may not always cooperate in the spring, Pennsylvania College of Technology golf and men’s and women’s tennis teams are scheduled to open their seasons over the next week. Golfers hit the links on Monday at the Lebanon Valley College Spring Invitational while tennis players are scheduled to take to the courts on March 27 at Juniata College.
