A Lancaster company that hires graduates of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Diesel Technology and Heavy Construction Equipment Technology programs and provides summer and vacation employment opportunities for students has established a scholarship at the College. Distribution of the H.L. Wiker and Sons, Inc. Scholarship will begin this fall.

Last fall, the Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team advanced to the semifinals of the Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference. This spring, coach Mike Stanzione would like to take his team one step further. "(In the fall) we had a lot of depth on our team. It's that time of year again when graduating college students prepare for the next step. That step is sending out resumes and meeting with potential employers.

Dominique Filoni, executive chef/owner of Savona in Gulph Mills, and Andrew Masciangelo, chef de cuisine at the restaurant, will prepare the Distinguished Visiting Chef Series Dinner on Saturday, April 17, at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Tickets for the dinner, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the College's Le Jeune Chef Restaurant, are available for $125.

William D. Davis, a member of the Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors since its inception in 1989, has announced his resignation from the board, effective March 1. Davis, the board's vice chairman, informed Penn College President Dr. Davie Jane Gilmour that he wants to devote more time to other endeavors. He retired from the banking industry in 1993.
