Pennsylvania College of Technology student Richard A. Blase has been awarded the John Bosak Scholarship from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters. Blase, Cogan Station, was operations manager for WPTC, Penn College's student-run radio station, for the 2004-05 academic year.

The Job Location & Development Program through Counseling, Career and Disability Services hosted a Fashion Show on Thursday evening in celebration of National Career Awareness Week. Penn College Police have arrested a student and charged him with selling prescription drugs at College West Apartments. The student, who has been placed on interim suspension by the college, was charged with one count of felony delivery and arraigned before District Justice Kenneth T. Schriner, who committed him to Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Contributions by Penn College faculty/staff toward the successful Summer Youth Experience program, which offers disadvantaged youths an opportunity to gain good work habits while exploring careers, has been reflected in the 2005 report by the Northern Tier Regional Planning and Development Commission. A professor of business administration/business law at Pennsylvania College of Technology presented a paper at the Conference on Emerging Issues in Business & Technology, held Nov. 3-5 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Irwin H. Siegel's paper, titled "Applying Organizational Theory Concepts: The Studebaker Case," also was published in the conference proceedings.

The Children's Learning Center held its traditional "Parent Appreciation Day" on Thursday, serving breakfast in the Multipurpose Room and a noon lunch in Penn's Inn.

The videos are linked from the "You're the Chef" Web site . Google Video , still in the "beta" (or testing) phase, offers viewers a way to see material from archived TV programs, educational videos, personal productions and more.
