Student Development Assistants and Student Activities Event Assistants recently teamed up for a fun night of School Spirit Quizzo! Quizzo is held every Thursday evening in CC Commons throughout the semester. This particular event was themed “School Spirit,” testing players' trivia knowledge on facts related to Penn College, philanthropy, traditions and more.

Kaitlyn L. Andersen, a nursing major from Mastic, New York, has been chosen as the “Student of the Month” at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Andersen is a two-year member of the Student Nurses’ Association, currently serving as the organization’s vice president. “She is a hard worker and earns good grades,” her faculty/staff nominator said.

Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball, softball, and men’s and women’s tennis teams got their North Eastern Athletic Conference seasons underway over the weekend. On Monday, the college’s golf team is scheduled to begin its season in the Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen Spring Invitational at Lebanon Country Club.

More than 400 high school students, all enrolled in Penn College classes at their respective high school or career and technology center, visited campus on Friday. A visit to campus is a required part of every course offered through the college’s Penn College NOW dual-enrollment program.

The Commission on Dental Accreditation recently approved continued accreditation for Pennsylvania College of Technology’s dental hygiene program through 2025. The Commission on Dental Accreditation is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Seven Pennsylvania College of Technology horticulture students, a supportive alumnus and a faculty member recently traveled to Colorado State University for the 43rd  annual National Collegiate Landscape Competition. A number of Penn College students were among the top performers in their respective categories, and the team finished 33rd among 64 schools.

Penn College's baking and pastry arts program has added two new industry-standard ovens to its lab: a hearth oven with an integrated loader and a round, rotating-rack oven. Curriculum additions also give students new pathways for their baking careers.

Pennsylvania College of Technology recently announced the winners of its annual wedding cake competition, with first-place honors awarded to a cake topped with a hand-molded weeping cherry tree. The decorator responsible for the intricately detailed cake is Aurora Mercedes LeBlanc, a non-degree student from Williamsport.
