Two automotive influencers, four alumni and numerous car dealerships and vehicles rolled onto campus recently, greeted by gorgeous spring weather and excited automotive students and faculty. “Auto Fest” was held in and around Penn College’s Thompson Professional Development Center.
Penn College nursing students presented their capstone projects on Tuesday, researching a variety of health conditions they saw while completing clinical education experiences in area hospitals, and exploring ways to improve a process they witnessed. Ciocca Collision Center in Montoursville recently donated a Honda door outer panel to Penn College’s collision repair lab, and it has been put to good use. The door outer panel is a task collision repair students are required to complete in their second year in our program.

Penn College News has received word of the death of Laura M. Dickinson, associate professor of English-composition at Pennsylvania College of Technology, who died April 18 at the age of 61.
When the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s golf team won the United East Championship last spring, coach Rob Lytle called it a “great, great tune-up because I believe we’ll be doing this again, year after year.”
Pennsylvania College of Technology will hold three commencement ceremonies May 10-11 for the more than 725 students who have petitioned to graduate following the Spring 2024 semester. More than 610 students will march at three ceremonies, all of which are ticketed events to be held at the Community Arts Center. All three ceremonies will be livestreamed.
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of WEDnetPA, a three-day annual gathering is being held in Williamsport that included a visit on Tuesday to Pennsylvania College of Technology’s campus. Penn College serves as the statewide administrator of the program, currently housed in the college’s Workforce Development division. Among those in attendance was Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development Secretary Rick Siger and other DCED staff.
