Pennsylvania College of Technology's interim chief operating officer announced today that the College has modified billing procedures to maximize students' eligibility for the Hope Tax Credit, which takes effect Jan. 1, 1998. The tax credit, which applies for expenses paid after Dec. 31, 1997, is available to eligible students during their first two years of postsecondary education.

An exhibition of works by students in the Painting II classes at Pennsylvania College of Technology will be on display January 16-26 at the College's 202 Gallery, located on the south end of the second floor of the Bush Campus Center. An opening reception for the show is scheduled for 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16. The reception is open to the public.

Residents of the Williamsport YWCA's Women's Shelter benefited recently from a project performed by 13 Pennsylvania College of Technology members of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for associate-degree students. Pennsylvania College of Technology has launched a search to fill three academic-dean's positions by July 2001. The search has commenced for deans in the schools of Business and Computer Technologies, Industrial and Engineering Technologies and Integrated Studies. Applications are being reviewed, and the search will continue until the positions are filled.
