Over the next four years, a mobile training unit operated by Pennsylvania College of Technology will travel around the state, showing auto-body shops how they can comply with new air-quality regulations and boost their profits in the bargain.

A scholarship has been established that honors a previous director of the Physician Assistant program at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The Russell M. Trapp Memorial Scholarship will be offered annually beginning this fall to a full-time student in the Physician Assistant major in Penn College's School of Health Sciences.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus will serve as a regional host site for the Pennsylvania Rural Development Council videoconference "Building and Maintaining Healthy Rural Communities" on Friday, May 18. The conference will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the videoconferencing center at the North Campus, located on Route 6, east of Wellsboro.

To acquaint prospective students with the new Management Information Systems bachelor-degree major being offered this fall at Pennsylvania College of Technology, an informational session has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 16. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in Room E256 of the Breuder Advanced Technology and Health Sciences Center at Penn College.

PGA Tour veteran Jeff Gallagher will be the featured professional at the15th Annual Spring Golf Classic hosted by the Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation on Monday, May 14, at the Williamsport Country Club. The annual fund-raising event for sponsors supports the Scholarship Aid Program for Penn College students, providing $134,500 in scholarships since 1990.

Students in cabinetmaking classes at Pennsylvania College of Technology will display their "capstone" projects in an exhibit scheduled for May 8-19 at the College's 202 Gallery. "Working Wood: Cabinetmaking and Millwork at Penn College" will include a variety of projects designed and built by the students, including wall cabinets, dressers, tall clocks, blanket chests and desks.

Car enthusiasts will join their motorcycling counterparts this year for a tour through the scenic northcentral Pennsylvania countryside on the Third Annual "Pride Ride" at Pennsylvania College of Technology on Sunday, May 6. What had been a motorcycles-only event to raise money for the Pride Ride Scholarship Fund at Penn College, has been expanded this year to include car entries.
