W'rg, a town of 127,000 in Northcentral Bavaria, is about 2 1/2 hours from Munich by train. The students will attend the W'rg University of Applied Sciences, a technical college.

Two Pennsylvania College of Technology competitors took home second-place medals in the national SkillsUSA Championships held recently in Kansas City, Mo. The SkillsUSA Championships showcase the best career and technical students in the nation, with more than 4,000 participants competing in 75 separate events. Students at Pennsylvania College of Technology soon will be able to use their student identification cards to pay for purchases at dining units, the College Store, vending machines and laundry rooms on campus, as well as commercial restaurants nearby.

These days, popular culture in Japan is not what you might imagine. The sessions, to be held July 21-23, will be led by expert faculty from the School of Hospitality and School of Natural Resources Management at Penn College.

They've spread out across the country and around the world in the past 62 years, and alumni of the Pennsylvania College of Technology predecessor institution Williamsport Technical Institute now are being called upon to return June 20 for the third annual W.T.I. reunion. "The first year, there were 52 alumni attending the reunion," said Barbara A.
