The director of instructional technology and distance learning at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently earned her doctoral degree. Jennifer McLean completed her Ph.D. in education at the Minnesota-based Capella University with a specialization in teaching and learning.

Services were held this week for James "Andy" Hinson, a general studies student from Milton, who died Sunday at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
