Dottie M. Mathers, an associate professor of medical/surgical nursing at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has written three workbooks to accompany medical-surgical nursing textbooks. The workbooks, titled "Virtual Clinical Excursions 3.0," are adapted for textbooks published by Elsevier. An accompanying CD features a virtual hospital with five patients.

A field trip for students enrolled in an English as a Second Language program got off to an exciting start May 26. The group was traveling on Route 87 toward a hiking trip at World's End State Park when they noticed a man had fallen from a roof. All four of the students hail from Saudi Arabia and are enrolled in preparatory courses before entering the college's pre-paramedic program.

The first Honors Program study-abroad venture concluded Monday, when four students returned from a two-week tour of Sweden and Latvia. The group studied the culture and maritime traditions of those nations in support of their program theme, "The Maritime World," and traveled extensively by boat including two 17-hour ferry transits from Sweden to Latvia. From the golf team's third straight unbeaten season to the archery team producing its 30th All-American, Pennsylvania College of Technology athletic teams have completed a record-setting year.
