Penn College students, faculty and staff donatedmore than110 pairs of shoes to benefit Valley Prevention Services' recent demonstration on the State Capitol steps in Harrisburg to raise awareness about tobacco-related illnesses. Over 20,000 pairs of shoes were collected from around the state; each represents one of 20,000 Pennsylvanians who die from tobacco-related illness each year.

The Penn College Wildcat Power Team continues to claim victories in a series of competitions held at Bucknell University, Lock Haven University and New Castle over the past two seasons. The Penn College Outdoor Adventure Club braved cold temperatures and rain Tuesday night camping on the ATHS lawn. Club members had the idea to camp on campus to promote the club and stir up interest. While only eight members spent the night, several showed up for the free food, music, movies, Frisbee and slack-lining. Anyone who happened to come by was encouraged to eat and have fun.
