In an effort to rebuild a women's soccer program that won conference championships in its first two years of existence, but has fallen on tougher times over the past three seasons, Pennsylvania College of Technology has turned to new coach Kim Antanitis.

The Athletic Department sponsored its first-ever Media Day on Thursday afternoon, offering students, faculty and staff the opportunity to drop by the soccer fieldand meet Penn College athletes and their coaches.

Students from the School of Hospitality's artistic buffet course took to the ice Wednesday morning on the patio outside the Susquehanna Room. Under the direction of Frank M. Suchwala, instructor of hospitality management and culinary arts, the students carved goldfish sculptures from blocks of ice.

While student interns have helped all summer at Le Jeune Chef on the campus of Pennsylvania College of Technology, the beginning of the fall semester brings the return of classes to the restaurant's kitchens, with student-produced meals beginning in September.

Sharon A. Berger recently joined the Food Services staff as a part-time registered dietitian. Her main focus while on campus is to provide assistance to students with food-related concerns and problems.

PCToday continues its regular feature welcoming new full-time and regular part-time Penn College employees, as reported by the Human Resources Office. Dougherty, digital media developer; Christopher J. Legarski, instructional media developer; Christopher J. Leigh, video production coordinator; and Tom Speicher, video production developer on video storytelling.

The American Red Cross was"excited and very surprised"aboutthe turnout for Wednesday's Bloodmobile at the Bush Campus Center, where a total of 177 individuals registered to give blood and 175 pints were collected achievingthe goal of 145. There were75 first-time donors, andevery pint collected goes to saving another life.
