Alicia Ross became the career scoring leader for the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team and three Wildcat winter sports teams posted a combined 2-7 record in action last week, with the men’s basketball team going 2-1. Men's Basketball     On Wednesday, the Wildcats used a 48-point second half to turn back Bryn Athyn, 79-53.

Over the past week, Pennsylvania College of Technology basketball teams sported a combined 0-4 record, all in North Eastern Athletic Conference games. Men's Basketball On Wednesday at home in NEAC action against Penn State Abington, Penn College fell, 82-70. Marquis Delgado, of Mansfield, led Penn College with 21 points and Thomas Ross, of Williamsport, added 16.

Being an athlete at Pennsylvania College of Technology means more than hitting a ball or scoring a goal: It means giving back to the community and, during the Fall 2016 semester, Wildcats completed 1,648 community service hours. Wildcat athletes volunteered at 10 events, on campus and in the Williamsport community, and helped raise $1,575 for various charitable organizations.

After a week during which the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s and women’s teams went a combined 2-3 in road games, they are about to enter a stretch that will see six consecutive home games at Bardo Gymnasium, all in North Eastern Athletic Conference play. After the semester and holiday break, Pennsylvania College of Technology athletes in two sports are ready to return this week. On Thursday, the men’s basketball team is in nonconference play at Alvernia University while, on Saturday, women’s basketball players see North Eastern Athletic Conference action at Gallaudet University.

Through the fall and early winter sports seasons, 11 Pennsylvania College of Technology participants were honored by the college as Athletes of the Week.

Ending the first semester, Pennsylvania College of Technology young men’s and women’s basketball teams are off to a combined 2-12 start and both are seeking continued growth with mostly North Eastern Athletic Conference games after the holidays.

In its only game of the week, and last of the semester, the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team lost at home on Saturday against Valley Forge College, 65-50. Gwendolyn Lavelle, of Pocono Summit, led Penn College with 18 points and Jane Herman, of Greencastle, added 14 points as the Wildcats fell to 0-7 overall.

Pennsylvania College of Technology basketball teams were a combined 0-7 last week, 0-6 as they began play in the North Eastern Athletic Conference. Men's Basketball In their NEAC season opener on Wednesday at Lancaster Bible College, the Wildcats lost, 114-86.

Pennsylvania College of Technology basketball teams begin North Eastern Athletic Conference action with home games on Wednesday and road games Saturday and Sunday this week after going a combined 1-3 this past week. Men's Basketball On Tuesday, in the first of a three-game road trip, Penn College lost at Sarah Lawrence College, 90-80.
