More than 50 students enrolled in Pennsylvania College of Technology's paramedic and physician assistant majors will help with medical coverage Aug. 18-27 at the 2006 Little League Baseball World Series. The students will be ready to offer medical services for thousands who attend and participate in the 10-day international event in South Williamsport.
Drop/Add and Late Registration were held Monday in the Student and Administrative Services Center, where representatives of Penn College's eight academic schools guided students through the online processing of schedule changes for the soon-to-begin fall semester.

The New Choices/New Options program, a free career-development workshop at Pennsylvania College of Technology, will offer a new session beginning Sept. 26. The workshop will meet Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from Sept. 26 to Oct. 19 on Penn College's main campus in Williamsport.

The Williamsport Hospital Campus of Susquehanna Health System is awarding Fall 2006 scholarships to 21 students at Pennsylvania College of Technology who were born at Williamsport Hospital. The hospital awards two full-tuition scholarships annually one to a female student and one to a male student enrolled in a School of Health Sciences major at Penn College.

Robert G. Steward, a culinary arts technology student from Williamsport, teamed up with children attending day camp at Bruce E. Henry Park in Loyalsock Township on Thursday to make Rice Krispies "lizards." Steward and Frederick W. Becker, dean of hospitality, offered students their expertise about cooking and about hospitality careers.
