Students enrolled in "Theories of Personality and Psychotherapy"stand in front of the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore, where they ventured Saturday to view the current exhibit titled "Home & Beast." The museum, in operation since 1995, features the works of self-taught artists, many of whom struggled with psychological maladies at some time in their lives.
Pennsylvania College of Technology students used Lycoming County Big Read's featured novel, "To Kill a Mockingbird," by Harper Lee, as their muse for book jacket designs that both fill course requirements and adorn area Big Read venues. A team of architectural technology students won the 17th annual "Bridging the Gap" competition, with a construction-paper bridge that carried 119.39 times its weight. Mwaura K. Ngoima, an aviation maintenance technology student from Kenya, recently became the first Penn College international student toattain his aircraft electronics technician certification. Ngoima was the second of10 Penn College studentsto pass the exam so far and the first in his home country.
Ryan F. Walls, a plastics and polymer engineering technology major from Mansfield, has been chosen as the Student Government Association's "Student of the Month" for March. An SGA senator from the School of Industrial and Engineering Technologies, Walls was the first sophomore ever to be named "lead student engineer" for the college's Plastics Manufacturing Center.
