Wednesday was "Groff Day" at Penn College's Schneebeli Earth Science Center, where about 50 diesel technology students benefited from three learning sessions – along with enjoying a pizza lunch and a slew of giveaways. The day was made possible by Groff Tractor & Equipment, which sent four employees to the Allenwood-area campus to meet with students in advance of this month's Career Fair.

Students express themselves through floral design. The always-appealing work of students in Karen R. Ruhl's Art of Floral Design course, seasonally accented by the Valentine bear "stuffed" into the corner of the lobby, went on temporary display inside the Schneebeli Earth Science Center's main entrance on Wednesday.

Nearly 30 Penn College students, including fraternity brothers and Wildcat athletes, joined the Community Arts Center volunteer corps for comedian Bert Kreischer's Thursday performance at the historic downtown venue. Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Chef Charles R. Niedermyer recently presented two sessions for retail confectioners at the Philadelphia Candy Expo & Seminar Conference.
