Dr. Asesh K. Das, professor of computer science in the School of Business and Computer Technologies at Pennsylvania College of Technology, presented papers at two international conferences in Orlando, Fla., recently. "You're the Chef," Pennsylvania College of Technology's award-winning and Emmy-nominated cooking series on public television, has garnered another honor, this one for its Web site. The site which was designed by Penn College's Information Technology Services' Web Development Team earned a "Standard of Excellence" award in the Web Marketing Association's 2003 WebAward competition.

Christine A. Fink, a floral design instructor at Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Natural Resources Management, has successfully completed the American Institute of Floral Designers' rigorous Accreditation Evaluation Program and is eligible to be accepted as an accredited member of AIFD in ceremonies to take place in New York City in July 2004.

The 2002-03 Annual Report is titled "One for the Books", a theme derived from our accomplishments, our library funding and the overall success we enjoyed during the most recent academic year.

Pennsylvania College of Technology and Caterpillar Inc. presented the first "Pathfinder to Excellence Faculty Award" recently to a faculty member at the College. Kenneth C. Kuhns, assistant professor of electrical technology/occupations, received the award during an advisory board meeting at the College.

Dr. Daniel J. Doyle, a professor of history at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant to teach in Egypt this fall. Dr. Doyle is one of approximately 800 U.S. faculty and professionals who will travel to 140 countries for the 2003-04 academic year through the Fulbright Scholar Program, an educational-exchange activity sponsored by the U.S.

The Master Teacher Award, the highest level of recognition given to a Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty member, was presented today to Richard L. Druckenmiller, instructor of building construction technology in the School of Construction and Design Technologies. Druckenmiller received the award during afternoon commencement ceremonies at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport.

Pennsylvania College of Technology presented "Distinguished Staff" and "Part-Time Teaching Excellence" awards Wednesday, while also honoring retirees and the newest members of the College's "Quarter-Century Club." The honors were bestowed at an Employee Recognition Week Reception held at Penn's Inn in the Bush Campus Center.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's Web site has won two prestigious awards in The Communicator Awards 2003 Print Media competition. The College Web site was honored with "Awards of Distinction" in both the "Design/Web Site" and "Web Site/Overall Site" competition categories. The Communicator Awards is an international competition recognizing outstanding work in the communications field.
