Pennsylvania College of Technology and the Penn College Education Association have agreed to extend their current labor contract through 2006-07. The Penn College Board of Directors approved the extension the second one enacted for an agreement that initially was approved in August 2000. A previous extension was ratified in February 2002.

Dr. D. Robert Cooley, assistant professor of anthropology/environmental science at Pennsylvania College of Technology, will present a program entitled "Applying Ecological Anthropology: Studying the Ecological Knowledge of Commercial Blue Crab Fishermen" on Tuesday, March 2, at the College Library.

Patricia J. Martin, clinical director of the Occupational Therapy Assistant program in the School of Health Sciences at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been appointed to the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education. ACOTE is a 16-member national body that accredits professional and technical levels of occupational therapy education in the United States.

The American Dental Education Association, the leading organization for dental education in the United States and Canada, will award a 2004 Presidential Citation to Kathleen E. Morr of Pennsylvania College of Technology. The honor, bestowed by ADEA President Dr. Paula K.

Dr. Thomas J. Edward Walker, a professor of history and the social sciences at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been invited to sit at the Oxford Round Table at the University of Oxford in England next summer. The event will be held Aug. 1-6 at St. Antony's College of the University of Oxford. Dr. Walker, author of "Pluralistic Fraternity" and "Illusive Identity," took his Ph.D.

Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty member Charles F. Kemnitz has been awarded a 2004 National Endowment for the Arts Literature Fellowship (Prose) for a submission from his proposed book describing the impact of uranium prospecting and mining in the Four Corners Area of the Southwest and his childhood experiences with Native Americans.

Dr. Philip H. Henning, associate professor of electrical technology at Pennsylvania College of Technology, recently presented a paper at an international conference in Edinburgh, Scotland. At the conference for the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc., Dr.

Das, professor of computer science in the School of Business and Computer Technologies at Pennsylvania College of Technology, presented papers at two international conferences in Orlando, Fla., recently. At the Seventh World Multiconference on Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics, Dr.

"You're the Chef," Pennsylvania College of Technology's award-winning and Emmy-nominated cooking series on public television, has garnered another honor, this one for its Web site. The site which was designed by Penn College's Information Technology Services' Web Development Team earned a "Standard of Excellence" award in the Web Marketing Association's 2003 WebAward competition.
