The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of the college's Madigan Library, is hosting "Searching for Creativity," a collection of works by Fred Gilmour, through June 22. An opening reception for the exhibit with a talk by the artist was held Tuesday evening. With the exception of the holiday weekend, gallery hours are 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, 2-8 p.m.

A Pennsylvania College of Technology associate professor of mass communications recently earned honors for his work with an area National Public Radio affiliate. WVIA-FM and WVYA-FM host more than 100 hours of locally produced content each week. Among those contributing to local content is Brad L. Nason, who teaches courses in radio broadcasting at Penn College.

Pennsylvania College of Technology honored two faculty members with Distinguished Teaching Awards at Spring Commencement ceremonies held May 16-17 at the Community Arts Center, Williamsport. The college's highest level of recognition for a faculty member − the Veronica M. Muzic Master Teacher Award − was presented to Dr. William B. Urosevich, associate professor of biology/anatomy and physiology.

Honoring the contributions of its employees, Pennsylvania College of Technology today presented Distinguished Staff and Part-Time Teaching Excellence Awards while recognizing new members of the college's Quarter-Century Club and recent retirees. The Distinguished Staff Awards honor the contributions and commitment of Penn College's employees, who are nominated by their co-workers.

Six Pennsylvania College of Technology coaches have been named Coach of the Year n their respective sports for the 2007-08 academic year. All guided their teams to conference championships.
