Pennsylvania College of Technology automation students will benefit from a recent partnership with a European software company. Clarify, based in Norway, is donating access to its cloud-based system for visualizing industrial data. The system will be used by students seeking a bachelor’s degree in automation engineering technology: robotics & automation.
Pennsylvania College of Technology students seeking degrees related to electrical technology will benefit from the generosity of the world leader in compact, professional electronic test tools. Fluke Corp. recently donated eight MDA-550 III motor drive analyzers for the college’s Machine Analysis Lab.
The funeral will be Friday for Kenneth C. Eck, 60, a longtime member of the machining faculty, who died Jan. 3. An adjunct instructor from August 1999 until his death, Eck earned Penn College degrees in machine tool technology (1983) and machinist general (1981). A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan.

Members of the Penn College community are encouraged to contribute blood during this month's collection for the American Red Cross. Online appointments are available for the visit, scheduled from noon-6 p.m. Jan. 17-18 in Penn's Inn (Bush Campus Center, second floor). Successful donors will receive a T-shirt, and $4 from each unit collected will go toward THON's fight against pediatric cancer.

The funeral was this past week for George P. Wolfe Sr., a retired associate professor of computer information technology, who died Dec. 19 at the age of 92.
