"Take Ten" Celebrating a decade of exhibiting contemporary art, The Gallery at Penn College is staging a special anniversary exhibition titled “Take Ten,” showcasing the works of 25 past exhibiting artists. “Take Ten” runs Aug. 25 through Oct. 9, with an opening reception set for 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 30. A number of the exhibiting artists will be on hand for the special event.

Pennsylvania College of Technology proudly welcomed some Most Valuable Players to Williamsport on Wednesday, hosting its eighth annual picnic for the 16 teams in the Little League Baseball World Series.

New and not-so-new Penn College students ushered in the 2016-17 academic year during Welcome Weekend, the traditional lead-in to the start of the semester.

Pennsylvania College of Technology and its Plastics Innovation & Resource Center brought plastics professionals from 10 states and Canada to campus for the recent Seventh Annual Hands-On Thin-Gauge/Roll-Fed Thermoforming Workshop. The 32 participants, representing 21 companies, experienced presentations and hands-on sessions during the three-day workshop.

Pennsylvania College of Technology held its Summer Commencement on Saturday at the Community Arts Center in downtown Williamsport. Hashim Abbas Alfulful, of Saudi Arabia, who received a Bachelor of Science degree in plastics and polymer engineering technology, was the student speaker for the 11 a.m. ceremony.

On Wednesday morning, Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week students participated in a quiz that took them into several buildings and labs on a circuitous path across main campus. The activity allowed campers to explore various locations, as well as interact with admissions representatives and academic school representatives, to learn more about the opportunities available at Penn College.

Plastics industry professionals from throughout the country converged at Pennsylvania College of Technology’s renowned Plastics Innovation & Resource Center for the 18th Annual Extrusion Seminar & Hands-On Workshop. Forty-four participants, representing 25 companies and 13 states, attended the three-day event led by extrusion experts Chris Rauwendaal and Kirk M. Cantor.

The Plastics Innovation & Resource Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently hosted 21 industry professionals from seven states for its seventh annual national Hands-On Heavy-Gauge/Sheet-Fed Thermoforming Workshop.

More than 230 students have petitioned to graduate in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Summer Commencement ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 6. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at the Community Arts Center, 220 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
