More than 230 students have petitioned to graduate in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Summer Commencement ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 6.
The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at the Community Arts Center, 220 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
The student speaker for the ceremony, Hashim Abbas Alfulful, of Saudi Arabia, will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in plastics and polymer engineering technology.
Alfulful, a Dean’s List student, is a member of the Penn College chapters of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society and the Society of Plastics Engineers. He is the recipient of a scholarship from the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission to the United States.
During the ceremony, the college will present an Alumni Achievement Award.
Degrees will be conferred by Penn College President Davie Jane Gilmour, accompanied by Steven P. Johnson, a member of the college’s Board of Directors and president/CEO of Susquehanna Health.
