Nothing foretells the end of the semester and the start of finals quite like the campus tradition of “Midnight Breakfast.” Thursday evening, 425 Penn College students braved spring rains to pile up stacks of pancakes, donuts, ice cream and other treats in Dauphin Hall’s Capitol Eatery.
An occasion to reminisce and renew, a special reunion recently welcomed alumni of Williamsport Technical Institute and Williamsport Area Community College back to campus. The predecessor institutions of Pennsylvania College of Technology laid the groundwork for today’s educational achievements and are an important part of the college’s legendary legacy. The gathering also celebrated the 60th anniversary of the founding of WACC, one of the state’s first community colleges, in 1965.
It’s that time of year again: Penn College’s Schneebeli Earth Science Center is rolling out the “greenhouse carpet,” inviting shoppers to its annual bedding plant sale. The much-anticipated event begins Monday, May 5 and runs through Wednesday, May 7. Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, with Wednesday’s hours 9 a.m. to noon.
Pennsylvania College of Technology will hold three commencement ceremonies May 16-17 for the 885 students who have petitioned to graduate following the Spring 2025 semester. Nearly 750 students will march at the ceremonies, all of which are ticketed events to be held at the Community Arts Center. All of the ceremonies will be livestreamed.
“Graphic Design 2025” runs May 1-9 in The Gallery at Penn College. The exhibition showcases the work of graduating seniors in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s graphic design major. A reception honoring the students is set for 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, May 2. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
Summertime weather greeted Penn College's annual Wildcat Egg Hunt on Saturday, following the event's postponement the previous weekend due to a dreary forecast.

WNEP-TV stopped by the third annual Rotorfest, held Tuesday on the front lawns and parking lots of Pennsylvania College of Technology. Hosted by the emergency management & homeland security major, the event attracted nearly 600 K-12 students and school staff from 13 counties, as well as a range of emergency responders.
April showers and chilly temps didn't dampen the enthusiasm of Open House visitors or the Penn College family offering a warm welcome to the college's campuses on Sunday. The event was the second Open House for Spring 2025.
March winds and refreshing perspectives breezed through campus, welcoming an eager crowd of visitors to Pennsylvania College of Technology on Saturday. The first Open House of 2025 offered awe-inspiring explorations and potential pathways around every corner. Penn College hosted nearly 1,500 prospective students and guests across its three campuses.
