The video “A 30-Year Anniversary Nearly 100 Years in the Making: The Community Arts Center” won a bronze Telly Award in the 45th annual competition. The Pennsylvania College of Technology entry earned its Telly in the Non-Broadcast – Arts & Culture category. Penn College owns and operates the Community Arts Center, a cultural cornerstone for the region, located on West Fourth Street in downtown Williamsport.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has presented student achievement awards to its Spring 2024 graduates. Commencement ceremonies were held Friday, May 10, and Saturday, May 11, at the Community Arts Center. Penn College is a special mission affiliate of Penn State.

Pennsylvania College of Technology presented faculty and staff with a variety of awards and recognized employees and retirees who have reached significant milestones as the 2023-24 academic year concludes. President Michael J. Reed celebrated the honorees during a May 9 All-College meeting in the Klump Academic Center auditorium.

Graphic design students and alumni from Pennsylvania College of Technology netted 20 awards in the 2023-24 American Advertising Awards Competition presented by the Northeast Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Advertising Federation. Penn College designs captured seven gold awards, eight silvers and five honorable mentions.

Thirty-eight Penn College students were honored during the Awesome Woman Exemplar Ceremony, held recently in the Thompson Professional Development Center. The women were nominated by student peers, faculty and staff.

Ellyn A. Lester, assistant dean of construction and architectural technologies for Pennsylvania College of Technology, was honored as a Construction Champion by Construction Dive, a leading industry publication. The annual list recognizes the most inspiring women leaders throughout the commercial construction industry. “Ellyn’s entire career has focused on talent: identifying it, leveraging it and nurturing it,” her nominator wrote.

Three students who graduated in Saturday's Fall Commencement exercises were recognized at an Excellence in Student Leadership and Service Awards Ceremony in the Community Arts Center's Capitol Lounge prior to their 11 a.m. procession. President Michael J. Reed paid tribute to the "small, but mighty group of absolutely extraordinary" honorees in his welcoming remarks, noting their selection for collegewide recognition from among 4,300 Penn College students.

Pennsylvania College of Technology recently presented DAISY Awards, which recognize nursing excellence, to a student who showed compassion to an infant patient and to a member of the college’s nursing faculty, who was recognized for her caring attitude toward students.

Twelve students graduating in this weekend's three Spring Commencement ceremonies were honored Thursday night during the Excellence in Student Leadership and Service Awards Ceremony in Le Jeune Chef Restaurant.
