Two popular fall events at Pennsylvania College of Technology have been merged into a singular Homecoming & Family Weekend, to be held this year from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2. The college traditionally held Parent & Family Weekend in late September, followed by Homecoming a few weeks later. “We knew there was overlap,” explained Kimberly R. Cassel, the college’s director of alumni relations.

Kimberly R. Cassel has been named director of alumni relations at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Cassel had been director of student activities at Penn College since 2008. She began her employment with the college in 2004 as assistant director of student development. She was appointed associate director of student activities for Greek life and leadership in 2007.

Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Athletics Department has announced its 2016 Hall of Fame class: Greg J. Solyak, 2011, men's basketball; Tamara L. Pavlov, '11, women's cross-country; Craig S. Flint, '09, men's basketball/golf; and Bambi Hawkins, women's volleyball coach. The inductees will enter the Hall of Fame on Friday, Sept. 30, in Le Jeune Chef Restaurant, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Pennsylvania College of Technology held its Summer Commencement on Saturday at the Community Arts Center in downtown Williamsport. Hashim Abbas Alfulful, of Saudi Arabia, who received a Bachelor of Science degree in plastics and polymer engineering technology, was the student speaker for the 11 a.m. ceremony.
