Pennsylvania College of Technology’s women’s soccer team continued its great start over the past week.

Students eased into Fall Break with a relaxing Wildcat Wednesday at "The Rock" this past week, spray-painting ceramic pumpkins as a timely takeaway. The popular series, an unpredictable variety of activities hosted by the Student Engagement Office, will resume Oct. 18.

The Office of Student Engagement observed National Coming Out Day on Wednesday, a day of empowerment and visibility for individuals from all walks of life to proudly share their authentic selves with the world. Stations in the Bush Campus Center lobby let the campus community learn more LGBTQIA+ history; write notes to those who need encouragement, kindness or love; and to win prizes, play games and take photos.

Dressed in neon T-shirts that suitably represented the bright career possibilities across the expansive construction industry, more than 1,000 students and chaperones from regional high schools and career and technical education centers converged on main campus Thursday for PA Build My Future – an interactive showcase of limitless potential.

Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Board of Directors on Thursday authorized the college administration to donate a Fifth Avenue property in Williamsport to Habitat for Humanity, approved parameters for the college’s 2024-25 state budget request, welcomed three new members and elected officers.

A vacant lot northwest of main campus has been donated by Pennsylvania College of Technology to Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity for construction of a single-family home by students, adding to the neighborhood’s character and returning the property to the tax rolls.

Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Board of Directors is getting three new members this month. The new appointees have been approved by the Corporation for Penn State; Penn College is a special mission affiliate of Penn State with its own board of directors, president, curriculum and accreditation.

On Saturday, Nov. 4, Pennsylvania College of Technology will provide free dental care to children and teens age 7-18. From 9 a.m. to noon in the college’s Dental Hygiene Clinic, volunteer dentists and dental hygienists and Penn College students will provide free oral screenings, sealants and education during an activity dubbed “Sealant Saturday.” Appointments are required and can be made by calling 570-320-8007.

As part of an ongoing collaborative effort by Major League Baseball, the City of Williamsport and Pennsylvania College of Technology, the college’s Wildcat Club supporters have stepped up to the plate to support the cost of essential field resurfacing at Williamsport's Muncy Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field.

Students in the physician assistant program capped off PA Week, celebrated Oct. 6-12 every year, with a Wednesday pizza picnic in front of the Physician Assistant Center.
