A severe shortage of local hotel rooms has resulted in the postponement of Parent and Family Weekend, which has been rescheduled for April 15-17.
The funeral will be Saturday for James E. Logue, associate professor of English at Penn College, who died Wednesday, Sept. 1. A veteran faculty member, former administrator and 1988 recipient of the "Master Teacher" award, he has been characterized as an "inspired and inspiring teacher, good friend to innumerable students and staff." The service will be at 10 a.m.

The lectures are sponsored by the Office of Student Activities at Penn College. With one exception, they will be offered at Penn's Inn, located on the second floor of the Bush Campus Center, at 8 p.m. The Sept.
Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus will offer a 124-hour noncredit nursing assistant course, beginning Oct. 5. Classes and clinical training are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays through Nov. 30. Classes are held at the North Campus, located on Route 6 between Wellsboro and Mansfield. Clinical training is provided at the Green Home on Central Avenue, Wellsboro.
